Question about SHOW GRADING

Am I correct in assuming that if you submit a cracked out coin that has been previously fingerprinted via Secure grading, it gets scanned into the puter at the show site and the previous Secure grade is then known to the show graders?

    That's what they claim.

My guess is that it isn't true. Why would the graders need to know that? I would think that it would be treated just like any other raw coin. Are you submitting/resubmitting at the secure level? If not at the secure level, PCGS may at their option run a secure scan and should be able to tell if it has been scanned before. Why they would communicate that to the graders is not clear to me.

Yes. So, once Secure you want to pay for a regrade in the holder, not crack it out.

Not if you summit it for regular service.image

This. If you don't submit via Secure at the show, they likely won't scan it and find out it was graded before.
