Seems like this guy was already raking in money through the BitInstant business, whatever is intentions were for "helping" out this older fellow even if good in his own mind, one must be reminded that in the current governmental and economical environment, one should be wary of having ones cake and eating it to.
He's not the Bitcoin CEO. He's CEO of BitInstant, one of many exchanges that buy and sell bitcoins. he and his exchange are charged with money laundering. I don't believe there is even a such thing as a "Bitcoin CEO."
Since they can't attack the bitcoin, their only alternative is to go after those who use it to break the law and hope the bad publicity rubs off on bitcoin.

There is no such thing even as the Bitcoin company or organization, much less CEO! I think that is part of the point. The idea is that the community, with no central authority, can reliably agree that a piece of information is correct. And that agreement can be used as a currency basis.
