Sticker Shock $1.93 for a 2oz Bubbler Mailer

When stamps went up a few cents I figured a jump in postage via ebay. But from $1.69 to $1.93 for a 2 ounce first class bubble mailer? That is quite a jump. I recently lowered my shipping to $2.00 and covered shipping and supplies (bubble mailer, penny sleeve, card saver 1 and invoice). Seems like now I am going to have to restructure my shipping policies to off set the increase.

Did this catch anyone else off guard?

I noticed this yesterday when I purchased postage. Sucks. But still the cheapest out there.

Increases are never fun. But if you think about it, we pay under $2.00 to ship an item anywhere in the USA in 3-5 days, with tracking. That's an amazing deal. I always thought they should have raised the price of a stamp to 50 cents a few years ago.

In 1999, a stamp as 33 cents. Gas was only $1.10 a gallon. Now a stamp is still only .49, and gas has more than tripled. One of their largest expenses more than tripled over the past 15 years, and they still only raised the price by 16 cents.
