I don't collect much vintage, but these may have fallen into my lap.
Based on what you can tell in the pics, assuming PSA, what would this grade?
I am looking to send in, but wanted to obtain some expectation management before doing do.
I am a modern collector, so I don't know many of the factors for vintage grading or what to look for exactly (i.e. reverse side centering, marks, surface, etc.)...

Between 3-4 for Aaron
Maybe 5 for mantle, possibly a little higher.
Aaron 4
Mantle possible 5-6
Hope your source was good and this is completely not applicable - just gets my radar up when they pop up in bunches.
If good - 3/5/5

<< <i>the Mantle and Aaron are for sure trimmed. I would not feel comfortable buying these. >>
Question (because I am clueless regarding trimming): from these pics, what are the "dead giveaways" that these 2 cards are trimmed? If I had to guess, on the Aaron, the top side of the card cuts off "Milwaukee Braves," so this would be evidence of trimming vice OC?

+1
Did you purchase these cards? I hope you didn't. They are fake. I hope this thread is just a joke. Folks that don't know that the Aaron is a fake need to stay far away from expensive vintage cards. If you did purchase them....I'm sure you spent quite a bit of money and need to rethink what it is you are collecting. I hope this works out for you.

Have not bought anything yet; all three are being sold at auction....ends tomorrow...live auction with cars, artwork, etc. These are preview pics of the auction. These cards are the only sports items at the auction (from what I can tell) and based on my local competition, I felt no one else would bid on them because everyone else would be focused on the muscle cards and coins...so I have spent no money at this time.
I am very "low situation awareness" when it comes to pre-1989 cards. I know little about the characteristics everyone is posting here...so I am gaining a HUGE education, just without a loss in money at this point.
TY to all for your opinions and knowledge...just going to pass.
