Tough question Bill. I say yes to the millenium but no to the goodacre. The mill coin was issued in a mint product, the goodacre was not.image

Don I agree with you there. The Goodacres were not intended as a consumer product from the U.S. MINT. These were made into an after market product between Goodacre and ICG

Now, what about the non-burnished Mil. issue? Or, the Trial Mint Wash issue?

The non-burnished Millenium coin is a regular old Sac in a pretty package. As for the other coin a test piece that should not have gotten out. The set I have in mind and have had in mind since I first got involved with it is Regular issue designed coins that had no counterparts issued that year for circulation. Weather, mint set, souvaneir set, commemorative set, or coin and currency set. Also chose to include the SMS coins since these were collector issues only.

Personally, I am glad they included the Millenium set Sac, and the Goodacre Sac. Besides, there are plenty around for anyone who wants one, and still at a good price. And, it will help my set when I register it. Mark

I am talking about the Sac Registry set. Sorry for not making that clear. Here is an excellent site for info on the Sac and SBA dollars.

  • I would think with it being such a short issues that the varities should be included. The six regular strike MS coins would be seem borring without the "rest of the story."IMHO.

Might as well include both VIP stikes too.

    Larry,

Not that I am aware of. This thread started off about the upcoming Mint Set issued only sets and Sacs.
