Question about modern RC's.

For fun, I thought I would try the modern RC speculation game. Looking at bowman chrome baseball and would you rather have a PSA 9 auto'd refractor or a PSA 10 auto'd base card? just curious on some thoughts on which one would be a better spec buy. Thanks in advance.

If the auto'd refractor is a serial-numbered card (such as xx/25), that may give the PSA 9 the edge. Otherwise, I'd take the 10 since both are auto'd and regular refractor doesn't beat base card by a whole lot, at least to me. Just my 2 ¢

I'd do the best of both worlds personally.

I'd prefer the refractor. I think the base chrome cards look really dull.

Good point, Goes to show since I have never seen one in person.

I'd like to purchase the 2001 Bowman Pujols auto someday if he can manage to stay clear of any juicer drama, but of course I'd buy after he retires.

I tend to go with the refractor. Not sure why.

Speculating is too risky.Spend your money on a sure thing.I did enough speculating back in the late 80s and they are all in some landfill now.

Agreed. That's why I'm not looking to spend a lot on one card. Recently bought my first spec card. My goal is to spend no more than $50 on a card. Although I did spend a little more than that on this card. I was surprised to see how much cheaper Goldy sells compared to other prospects who haven't even played yet. This guy is a legit MVP candidate. We shall see.
