If you were head of the USA Olympic committee, would you send our athletes to Russia this year ?

    Sadly our world leaders have not taken the necessary steps to sanitize the earth of maniacal terrorists.

    To get to olympic level it's a lifetime of commitment and expense.
    It's a life's dream for most
    Remeber Jimmy Carter boycotting the olympics due to Russia's invasion into Afganistan.???????

    Who are we and our polititians to take that away.

    Russia will provide a secure olympics

    I do. That was a political decision and had nothing to do with any threat to the participants.

    Fair enough. Inform the athletes of the risks and let them decide.

    Certainly hope so, but the former Soviet Union has been heavily targeted by Muslim extremists.

    Russia cannot even provide secure/safe roads due to the corruption of their police. I have a hard time believing they can provide a safe Olympics given the scope.

    I hope and pray they do.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Absolutely they should go.

    Lets also not forget the 1996 Atlanta bombing...it's not just Russia which has security issues.
