Horsin' Around with Pretenders and Billionaires

I have found that it always pays to go back to the NYINC after my first Friday round of frantic debauchery. I had been disappointed, but not surprised, to lose out at auction to a Stuart medal that I really liked. I had not found anything similar, but prior to leaving on Sunday, I dropped by the Goetz table and casually looked over his medals that I only had been able to glance at, on Friday. Much to my great surprise, I spotted a Stuart with the legend, Unica Salus. It was the bronze version of the silver that I had lost to a live bidder. But, I did not care about the metal. It was the design that I loved; the Hanoverian horse trampling on lion and unicorn. Not that I am a Stuart partisan, but a good motif trumps all!

Still, on Friday, thanks to Zohar, I did come across another great addition to my collection of horse themed medals (one of the few themes that has remained constant).
