Gavelsnipe failure

I have started using gavelsnipe in the last month so I don't have to watch auctions constantly (this makes my wife happy). I was on a plane yesterday and I set a snipe on gavelsnipe for an item. It has never happened before but gavelsnipe failed to enter my bid. Has this happened to anyone else? Maybe my time to snipe before auction close is set too close to the end of auctions (I think I have it set at somewhere between 3-6 seconds before auction end, I can't remember exactly).
I am bummed because the item was one I have never seen on eBay before. Maybe I shouldn't be too bummed as the item may or may not have been a genuine unopened box. Don't know if this is how you do it but I will try to put the link to the item:

My snipe price was set significantly higher than the winning bid. Oh well. Any thoughts on the legitimacy of the box? Has gavelsnipe failed anyone else? Should I change my snipe entered time (if this was the problem)?
