170 business days, Anthony?? For a card sub?? That would indeed be a record!

My record so far was a 77 business days TAT order for 51 items on monthly special 1956 & newer, bad but worlds better than the 170 reported above I suppose.

I do have some logged on October 7 that might have a shot at breaking my personal record time though if they go just a little bit longer.

I'm assuming this wasn't for a standard card sub~can't believe turnaround could be that long for a regular sub. Knowing Anthony, it was probably for some obscure pre-war Daguerreotype, LOL..

For those of you who, like me, had NO FRIGGIN IDEA what that meant:
The daguerreotype /dəˈɡɛrɵtaɪp/ (French: daguerréotype) process (also called daguerreotypy), introduced in 1839, was the first publicly announced photographic process and the first to come into widespread use. By the early 1860s, later processes which were less costly and produced more easily viewed images had almost entirely replaced it. A small-scale revival of daguerreotypy among photographers interested in historical processes was increasingly evident in the 1980s and 1990s and has persisted into the 2010s.

So by "Pre-War", he meant "Pre-Civil War"?

there were some extenuating circumstances. I had to provide some backup documentation and statements from a few experts in order to get it eventually slabbed, as it was something they hadn't seen before. And that is calendar days, not business.

In all honesty I've rarely had a submission that didn't pop in under the standard time. From my experience if you put the service level on the outside of the box like they require and the form is filled out correctly things get done pretty quickly.

Wow, all those 1901 & 1902 Ogden's are very tough to get high grade in, Congrats on the 7.

I'm glad your order popped. I hope my 10/7 logs are trying to make their way somewhere near the top of some grader's desk soon.

I haven't done the math, but my longest submission time was from 4/25/2012 to 8/3/2012.

I have one now pending from 11/21/13.

    Thanks,

    David (LD_Ferg)
