    I agree, my preference is to clean up that gunk if PCGS can do it. Will be worth in in my mind as a cameo Type 1 is tough to find.

    I also find it interesting that the obverse appears to have stronger frost than the reverse - usually it is the other way around.

    I think the best approach is to send it in the holder to PCGS instead of trying to do it yourself since they now give you an option with conservation. they will do a better job than and there is virtually no risk. if you choose to crack/dip yourself there is too much downside risk.
