Slightly OT: Anyone Familiar with Illinois Basketball at the State Farm Center ?

Hello,
I'm road tripping along with my father and my son to Champaign for Saturday's game between my MSU Spartans and the Fighting Illini at the State Farm Center.
It looks like seats in the upper (C) section are available on Stub-Hub near face value $42. Seats in the middle section (B) are much more.
Here are my questions: Is high up near mid court (section C) better than lower (section
but along the baseline? If I skip Stub Hub and show up with three $50 bills, can I get B level tickets outside the gates (without waiting right until tip time)? And finally, any restaurants or other places of interest on / near campus that we should not miss?
