Looking to buy a case of something interesting, maybe with some solid inserts/autos/memorbilia. Want to go cheap since it's purely for entertainment, and I want bang for my buck. Any suggestions?

I would look at 2001-2003 Pacific hockey products. They made a lot of brands during that period. There are typically multiple jersey cards per box. You can get 20 box cases for around $300, some less than $250.

2002 Pacific hockey, the regular set, was one of my favorite hockey sets just on design alone.

Pacific did a great job with hockey back then. They really made each product interesting for the fans. A lot of sets today are just too cookie cutter for me.

I might even buy a case for myself just to bust.

1997-98 Pinnacle Beehive is awesome if you like oversized cards. Rookies of Elias, Luongo, and other minor stars, who all have on card autograph parallels. There are also on card autographs of greats like Rocket Richard, Johnny Bower, Ted Lindsay, Andy Bathgate, and other HOF players. The set is small so you will be pulling stars in every pack. I also like the fact the backs contain career statistics year by year on the regular cards. I love opening these boxes.

I want to say around 20 packs per box. Pacific was pretty consistent with the pack/box configuration.

These boxes have great value. You can probably get back at least 60% of the box value in ebay sales and maybe more if you hit the right player jersey or parallel.
