Go Denver, beat New England.

SanctionIISanctionII Posts: 11,725 ✭✭✭✭✭
Denver played well today, especially the defense and the O-line.

I bet the league and TV are glad the AFC title game will be Broncos-Patriots and Manning-Brady.

Hats off to San Diego. It came back strong in the 4th quarter and made the game close.

Seattle v. San Francisco in the NFC title game will be very good, with the winner of that game likely being favored in the Super Bowl.

The Championship games are both treats, and it's great to see Manning get back to a title game, and give the fans in Denver a real QB for the first time since Elway.

Both of next week's games have tons of storylines as well as games that should be plenty exciting to boot.

Love to watch Manning calling the plays at line of scrimmage--he is by far the most entertaining QB in the NFL, as well as the most effective at drawing the other team offsides. Apple, apple, Omaha, Omaha, Fighter, fight!! WTH does it all mean?? LOL!

Denver/SF super bowl would be amazing.

If the Superbowl is SF v. Denver, my ideal outcome would be a 56-9 Denver victory (so Denver could get some payback for the 55-10 drubbing SF inflicted on Denver the last time the two teams met for the title).

However, I would never consider such a score to be even remotely possible. I am sure that whoever wins the Seattle-SF NFC tite game will be favored in the SB.

No offense SanctionII, but I really want us to have our third Super Bowl party...by us I mean my wife who is from Greater Boston (Malden to be exact). So we gotta root against your Broncos, sorry!

Should be a good matchup though...you got the home field and higher seed, only trouble is you did let the 6th seeded Chargers come back and made the game way too close. A win is a win sure but it did make the Broncos look rather vulnerable.

    Estil:

I take nothing for granted when it comes to Denver. Denver has had little success against the Patriots over the past few years. I hope Denver rises to the occasion this next game. If they do, great. If they do not, then good luck to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Hopefully the AFC title game will be a barn burner and very exciting.

Indeed because one, anything can happen in the postseason (especially in single elimination tournaments like the NFL's or NCAA's) and besides that, don't you remember in 1996 when you guys had the top seed but lost it to the second year Jaguars? Not to mention the defending champ Cowboys fell to the second year Panthers at the same time! Not to mention how embarrassing it was for my wife's Patriots to not be able to finish their undefeated quest in 2007. And who could forget that year when the 6th seed Steelers took home the big prize?

You are absolutely totally right, SanctionII. There are many many many examples in all of sports history (both individuals and teams) where you can't take anything for granted.

The loss of Harris at CB is a big blow for Denver. The Chargers scored all their points Sunday after he had departed with a torn ACL. Champ Bailey is hobbled, too, and Jammer is not nearly as reliable.

So far Denver is paying very well on both sides of the ball.

20-3 Denver with about 22 minutes to go in the game.

    Keep it up Denver.

Peyton putting to bed some of that postseason stigma this afternoon. Perhaps he might replicate Elway's feat and win a Super Bowl or two in an orange uni.

I must say I am really impressed how quiet the Denver fans are when Manning is on the field and how loud they are when NE has the ball.

Denver is certainly the better team, but kudos to NE for getting as far as they did with a rather depleted roster.

Congrats to the Broncos. I think that Denver will play very well in the Super Bowl regardless of which team represents the NFC.

Good to see Manning back in the Super Bowl. Has any QB won a Super Bowl with two different teams? I can't think of one.

I want to ee the 49ers win the NFC title.

If it does, the meands that Denver will have a chance at redemption and payback for the 55-10 loss it suffered at the hands of the 49ers 24 years ago.
