Is there enough interest for a bulk ticket submission ? This month's CC special same as bulk offer

Trying to gauge interest in a bulk submission for tickets. I haven't contacted anyone at PSA yet for volume or pricing, I don't even know who to contact. But thought I would see if we even had enough people interested first.

I'd be in for 10 - if stubs are ok and don't need full ticket - would just be looking for 'authenticated'

I think someone here got a bulk sub for PSA/DNA items for $10 with a minimum 500 item order. I was hoping to get something similar. However, drumming up enough interest to submit 500 tickets may be an issue, even if we can get the same deal.

I would be in for 10 - 20 maybe more.
Do they also grade/authenticate early season ticket booklets/covers?

And is there any restrictions ($ value) to the sub?

I'm not completely sure what you are referring to, are you talking about season ticket books ? the whole book at once ?

Sorry for the confusion of my question.
Not the complete book, just the season ticket booklet (empty) or cover.

  • I'd be interested. Keep me updated.

Ok, I didn't mess around with this one. I went directly to top and e-mailed Joe about the submission. Hope to hear some specifics soon.

  • I just hope its worth doing and not some $25 limit on the value of the ticket. It's probably wishful thinking that I could get my rarest ones graded for $10 each. Like a 1959 Daytona 500 or 1950 Darlington Southern 500... Keeping fingers crossed on this one...

    Barry,

I will have a pricing rep contact you next week.

    Thanks for reaching out.

I must admit Joe is on the ball, looks like he contacted me after hours to help.

Although I am hoping for a $10 fee per item I'm not really expecting it. I would be happy with any type of discount from the current price ($25) I believe. I would think they would put at least a $500 max value per ticket, which should take care of most tickets unless you are submitting some rare ones.

  • Hello, I live in Canton, Ohio. I have a FULL, UNUSED ticket to almost every Football HOF game. I would DEFINITELY be interested IF... IF.. it DID include Grading. If it DID include grading, I would be in for about 35.

I would have around 10-15 tickets
    Registry Sets:
    T222's PSA 1 or better

As for me, depending on the specifics, I would be good for 30-50. I must admit I do not have any experience with doing bulk submissions, So if anyone wants to volunteer to head this up "IF" we get it up and running is fine with me. If no one steps up I can serve as guinea pig and give it a try.

I'd be interested in submitting a couple, but am new to the bulk sub process so i'll need to figure it out.

I have a few tickets if this works out.
  • if this gets the green light, would we mail the tickets straight in to psa or would we mail them to you or someone else who then mails them?

personally I'd be more comfortable if they were mailed straight to psa but I don't know how a bulk submission works.

Typically we mail them to the organizer and they send a single package to psa. I've participated in several and never had an issue. Good people here

Although I did start the thread to gauge interest for a bulk ticket submission. I hadn't planned on being the organizer. I believe you have to be a PSA member to send in bulk submissions anyway, and at the moment my membership is not current. I do plan on renewing my membership sometime soon though. So, if anyone wants to do the organizing of the submission after we get the pricing from PSA next week, please be my guest.

I would be in for 5-7.
  • Depending on the price I would have 10 to 50 Boxing tickets, Full, Stub & Stubless.
However the slab/Case Size would cover from
    Standard - 2 11/16" x 3 13/16" to
    Supersized (Check) - 4 1/4" x 10"
so that will be a factor as well

I had a hard time drumming up interest for tickets when PSA had them on their monthly special. That was at $14 per ticket. I know $10 is a lot cheaper than $14, but 500 tickets is ALOT!! I wish ya'll luck!
  • jlzinckjlzinck Posts: 907 ✭✭
I found this at my in laws house so I would be interested in 1.

Still not sure we are going to see $10 per ticket, it may just be wishful thinking. What was the minimum amount of tickets they would take for $14 per ticket ?

There was no minimum. That was the monthly special about two months ago. Around every 6 months, they try to have a ticket special.

Here is the E-mail I received from Devin today about our bulk ticket submission. I told him we had approximately 100 to 150 tickets and could possibly get more depending on pricing. So this is the pricing alternatives he sent me..............

    Hi Barry,

If we are looking at the numbers below with a maximum declared value of $500:
    100+ tickets - $20
    150-200+ - $18

Personally, I am disappointed. I thought we could have at least received $15 to $10 considering the last PSA special was $14 per ticket. So, I guess unless we get a few more tickets to bring the price down, I am for waiting for the next ticket special of $14. But I will leave it up to you guys.

I totaly agree the price break at these levels are not very tempting. I can wait for the next special, I'm not in a rush and at 10 plus tickets the extra saving could
    pay for my shipping costs

    Barry,
However you want to run it just post it and see what the interest is.
  • bobbyw8469bobbyw8469 Posts: 7,139 ✭✭✭
That bulk special is horrible. Just wait until the next special. I have one ticket, but it is Super Bowl III. Due to the value, I think I have to send it in all by itself.

Tennesse...I have a really valuable ticket going in for grading. There is no special for it, but maybe we can save on shipping. Let me know.
  • tennesseebankertennesseebanker Posts: 5,433 ✭✭✭
Bobby, Thanks for the offer, I have been contemplating re-joining the Collectors Club anyway but was going to wait until they made an offer I couldn't refuse on ticket grading.
At this price level I would still like to send in about 5 or 6. When are you planning on submitting, I see the ticket special is good until the end of March.
