2013 Score Football

Picked up a jumbo hobby box of 2013 Score football. I lucked out because the local B&M shop is moving down the road to new digs and each day until Feb. 1 they are running a special. I happened to go to the shop on a "football day", so several football-related products were half off
.
The box contains 10 packs with each pack having 50 cards. Pictures are great, many with decent action shots and the clarity and focus are high level. As a Ravens fan, I especially like their Road to the Superbowl set. The rookie base cards are made to look like 1989 Score football, as a way to celebrate their 25th anniversary. I could have done without that since I thought the 1989 Score cards were ugly to begin with LOL. They also feature some pretty loud color schemes on the Hot Rookies cards, a bit over-the-top in my opinion. They feature QBs in a set called Airmail which is pretty cool.
I've opened 4 or 5 packs and nothing earth-shattering so far, mainly nice base cards. I did get an Airmail "Showcase" serial-numbered Cam Newton xx/99. The box promises 2 autos and 1 auto or memorabilia card, so the good stuff is yet to come.

LOL, and I bought some of these ONLY because of the 89 score connection!
Pack #6 yielded a Gold Zone xx/50 parallel of Vincent Jackson and my first auto -- Inscriptions card of Justin Blackmon. So-so on the auto. Blackmon needs to keep himself out of trouble with the league and realize he has a boatload of talent. Of course, toiling away in Jacksonville does not help his stock. But, I digress...
Pack #7 had a nice Artist Proof xx/32 parallel of the Future Franchise card for Randall Cobb. Also got my second auto -- Rookie Signature card of Matt Barkley (QB - Philly).
They call me "Pack the Ripper"
Scorecard parallel of Lamar Miller (non-serial numbered)
Purple parallel RC 83/99 of Desmond Trufant - CB Atl
Auto RC of Dion Sims - TE Mia
Overall this was a nice box with some decent hits, including 3 autos.
