Can someone explain to me the sport of curling?

    ok you have the following:

    1 great big cheese wedge
    2 mini-brooms
    and ice

    what is the point of it? I mean basketball, put it in the hole, baseball, hit it over the fence, football, cross the goal line. How do you score in curling?

    I am not knocking it, I just don't understand it.

    ok.. you have the Rocks... what they throw down the ice. There are rings at the end of the ice on each side... the person who has the rocks closest to the button (middle) score points... depending on how many rocks they have that are closer than their oponents. The brooms are used to sweep... to make the rock go straight, pick up speed.

    You try to get the object by "sweeping" the ice to clear a path for it. Then I guess you try to get a bullseyeimage
