1940 Nazi Germany Penny

Hey guys, I just have to say that I love working at the bank because people give me all kinds of rare things without even knowing. I cracked open a rolled sleeve of pennies and dropped them, thankfully while picking them up I found this guy.

I have German coins but no other Nazi Germany coins and was wondering how rare this is (From Nazi Germany to New Jersey)? I saw on average they are going for about $4 on ebay. I have no intentions on selling it but I would love a little insight. From what I gathered on wikipedia there were 24.5 million made at this mint that year and it is comprised entirely of zinc, besides that I have no other information. It is mint J which is Hamburg.

    What a find!

The only item I own with a Swastika on it is the spoon my Dad used in prisoner of war camp in Barth, Germany.

These actually are bronze which is a combination of copper and zinc. Nice find for a penny however. A really interesting series to collect however
