I may be treading on water by posting a link to another board but I wanted to get the advice of PSA experts
See the following thread on FCB for more info, I will link back to this thread from there.

Please see ebay or FCB for more examples of PSA graded versions.
The nolan ryan card in the topps sheet was in the bottom left corner of the sheet (http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=156261, this was the sheet that was auctioned off (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Topps-Baseball-Color-Process-Proof-Sheet-Nolan-Ryan-rookie-card-RARE-/231097033648?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item35ce74e3b0&nma=true&si=WKgBLD4tYjiBT5pBcF7ADYHZe%2Bk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)). The copy I have with the more orange background has the white stripe on the ryan side. Does anyone have more information on this set? I would assume that since the position of the ryan card in the Topps sheet would be that the the white on the kooseman side would be a topps miscut and the white on they ryan side would be a milton bradley.
What are your thoughts?

I am working on the Nolan Ryan master set. Need 1004 more cards to complete. I might actually spend more on plastic than I did on cardboard.

Thanks for the question.
The proof sheet that was auctioned off in December was also reprinted as a limited edition of 1000 copies in October 1991. (My reprint copy didn't cost $3,999). You can see the Ryan rookie at the bottom left of only 44 cards on that proof sheet. In the FCB post, the fuzzy picture of the 1968 half sheet of 132 shows rows 1-8 (8th row being Ryan) and then 1-4 (4th row being Belanger) on that left side. The right side half sheet of 132 would have had the rows 5-8 on top of rows 1-8 for 12 total rows, or two Ryans on that half sheet. Therefore, all 87 cards in the 68 2nd series were printed 3 times. No shorts. Of note, the 2nd series checklist #107 was not part of the 2nd series cards (109 to 196) but makes up the 88th card. This explains checklist variations, which were seen in two separate printings of series of cards, with typo or cropping errors arising. It also explains why there are two 107 cards in the MB series of 77 baseball cards.
One out of three regular 68 Ryans therefore could have a white border--like you see on the Belanger in the sheet near the left hand--if badly off-centered top to bottom.
On the Milton Bradley sheet of 132, the Ryan card has Twister T, a hot rod card, just above it (to the right of Ryan, if you would) and the Ernie Ladd card below it (i.e. to the left of Koosman). All MB Ryans--unless they are 50/50, maybe 52/48 centered--will have a border to the top or the bottom. I have a MB PSA 8 Ryan that is perfectly centered, and you can't see a border on either side. But that's rare. You really have to look at the backs to know if they are MBs or not.
The key to distinguishing MBs from the yellower stock backs of cards in the 4th through 6th series is that the latter have two obverse ovals that are bleached white, vs the white-gray color seen in all 1st through 3rd, 7th series regular cards and all MBs. Misunderstanding about the off color yellow stock back has confused collectors about true MB cards for years.
White border to the top of the card--could be either an off-centered regular or MB Ryan.
White border to the right of Ryan--is only an MB.
White border to the left of Koosman--could be a regular or MB Ryan.
You can also see a thin white "cut line" in the regular set.
The rows on the 132 card MB sheet came out as follows (12 rows of 11 cards):
1) First series (burlap) Topps 68BB
2) First series (burlap) Topps 68BB
3) Topps 67FB
4) First series (burlap) Topps 68BB
5) First series (burlap) Topps 68BB
6) Hot rod cards
7) Second series (mesh) Topps 68BB (Ryan row)
8) Topps 67FB
9) Second series (mesh) Topps 68BB
10) Hot rod cards
11) Second series (mesh) Topps 68BB
12) Topps 67FB
I have an article soon to be published on the MB set in Sports Collectors Digest, it has been approved for some time. Until publication it is proprietary to SCD but I will be glad to answer any questions via PM/email. The sheet should be published with the article. I have boxes of MB cards I have collected since childhood and will be glad to fill any holes in your collection. I also have about 550 MB PSA graded cards and the current top MB set graded at 8.02, listed under Miscellaneous Sets and then Company Sets, Multiple Sports. Remember that all the cards in this set passed through the hands of kids playing a flipping card game. There was no vending for this set. Very difficult to get cards in higher grade.

Hi
I own the proof sheet mentioned above. I purchased it from REA Auctions as original to 1968.
On the edition you mention from 1991, is there a way to tell the difference from an original? Have you got an image of a reproduction from the limited edition?

Thanks for your insight.
Does anyone have a 1968 Milton Bradley Nolan Ryan psa that they would consider selling?
