SCD back in the late 70's and early 80's - were you a seller?

I was just looking through some of my old issues from 1979 - 1981 and was wondering if anyone on these boards might have listed cards for sale back then? Looking at the seller names, I recognize practically none from this day and age. Granted I was a teenager in those days so who the hell knows of many of them are still alive or actively involved in the hobby anymore.

Just curious.

I ran ads on occasion (5-6 issues/year). Several for singles, some for teamsets and others for case breaks. Long before the days of PSA!

I sold off my entire collection via SCD about '78 or so- T206's, T205's, etc.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Before we bought SCD from the Stommen family, I had advertised a time or two (I sold off my childhood collection of well-loved Western Hartlands) and occasionally submitted articles.

Bob, when did you buy it from John Stommen? I was an original subscriber when he started it on '73 til I got out about '76.

We bought it in early autumn, 1981. I believe the first issue under Krause ownership was dated Sept. 1 or Sept. 15 or thereabouts.
