Cutler Signs With Bears Through 2020

Great move by the Bears. This league is so QB driven there's (a) nobody out there better and (b) he's a top 10 guy already.

    Top 10 at what, exactly?

He's irreplaceable in the current and foreseeable future market so the bears did the right thing in locking him up.

If overpaying for an average (I repeat AVERAGE) QB, then yes, they did the right thing.

I dare you to tell that to the face of a guy whose offensive line was so terrible in 2010 he got sacked 52 times.

Cutler is decent, but the Bears might still be playing if McCown hadn't been benched.

Good point, I would probably be telling that to the back of his helmet as his face would be buried in the turf.

Why the lack of respect for Cutler? He is a good QB. Not as good as Romo but still pretty good.

A couple of years ago he sat himself out of a deep playoff game with a leg injury. Was able to go out for a nice dinner with his hottie though later that night.

Right, because it takes the same level of physical effort to go to dinner as it does to play a football game.

Guy was casually riding the exercise bike while his valiant team battled on without him. He would be a better fit in San Fran, not the Black and Blue division.

Are you implying that SF 49er players are somehow less manly because they happen to play for the city of San Francisco? That's a rather ridiculous notion, isn't it?

If you're referring to the NFC North as "the black and blue division", I think the NFC West would like to have a team by team meeting to show all of those teams how to play physical.

Speaking of the NFC West, I would take ALL FOUR of that division's starters over Jay "I didn't sign for the money" Cutler. Maybe a tie between Cutler and Palmer, but we all know what Bradford says about ties.

So you'd take Bradford over cutler? Good thing you're not a GM.

Good thing YOU aren't the GM. The entire front office would be confused, walking into walls, and would have bleeding ears from listening to rants about useless stats.

Way to try to try to spin out of your idiotic idea Bradford and Palmer are better than Cutler.

All I hear when I see Cnote post:

<< <i>Chicago will pass on Cutler, and Jay will just change teams in the division. Book it. >>

    Then:

<< <i>Speaking of the NFC West, I would take ALL FOUR of that division's starters over Jay "I didn't sign for the money" Cutler. Maybe a tie between Cutler and Palmer, but we all know what Bradford says about ties. >>

Forgive me if I (and plenty of other people) ignore each and everything you have to say, as you obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about.

  • CNoteCNote Posts: 2,070
Sorry, I didn't think Chicago would be dumb enough to keep him. I thought Minnesota would do it.

And, yes- every QB in the NFC West is better than Cutler. Want to talk to Bradford about ties? I can show you some detailed transcripts about his thoughts on ties.

I guess ignorance truly is bliss. Sitting there and suggesting that Bradford or Palmer are better QBs than Cutler who is a top 10 or 12 guy is the height of foolishness.

Again, it's a good thing you're not running a team as it's obvious you have no idea on how to evaluate personnel.

Two many years for a guy who has not won.

They should have saved some money for that Chris Conte fellow. Anyone with a last name like that has to be a solid NFL player!

I wish there was a polite way to tell you how ignorant you are.
  • 1985fan1985fan Posts: 1,952 ✭✭
Cnote, the fact that you continue to suggest Bradford and Palmer are better QBs speaks volumes about *your* ignorance. Cutler is a top 10, top 12 QB, and (a) there's no free agent QB coming up in the near future that's a substantial upgrade and (b) suggesting you're going to find a rookie QB in the draft anytime soon that's better is equally laughable.

But keep on believing that you think you know how to evaluate talent. Keep on believing that dregs of the NFL like Bradford and Palmer are better QBs, and I'll keep on literally laughing out loud each time I see you prove how willfully ignorant you truly are.
