Is anybody here going to be collecting these when they come out later this year?

    They look pretty cool - first curved coins, kind of like a catchers mit image It's just going to bejust the three differnt coins correct ?

    Not a coin guy so you would know better - the coins are like half baseballs it looks like - not flat - ever seen a mint like this before ?

    50K gold and 400K silver seem like an overload to me.

    If they do a three-coin set similar to the 5-star general sets, I'm in for a couple sets.

    I think they will be pretty popular--the US Mint has never minted a curved coin before.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    any idea of cost?

    I'm in on these.
    Really dislike nearly all modern mint products but this one has me.
    I like coins and baseball. Win - win.

    I would estimate about $400 for the $5 gold piece, about $45 for the silver dollar and $20 for the clad piece.
