I remember Steve having this on his website a couple years back. I am confused by the photos for this item. The box is clearly a different box from the first picture and the last. The lid is ripped off the first picture and then the second pic has a very nice top. Not sure what is going on.
Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
That is does not look like the same box that came from BBCE about 18 months back (which I believe was sold at the time for $17k).
I don't have personal experience with this seller, but I cant recall ever seeing BBCE applying their sticker directly to the unopened product without a layer of shrink wrap before (I am not seeing the usual "shine" that reflects off the surface of the plastic, so it looks like a direct applictaion of the sticker, and it's clearly not the "new" BBCE shrink wrap). Also, I agree the photo of the box without the top and then the other photo with a full box top make no sense (it has to be two different boxes, which is not explained in the posting).
I am confident that BBCE was shrink-wrapping product (with clear plastic) at the time they sold the Williams wax box, as I already had other BBCE-wrapped boxes at the time I discussed the Williams box with Steve.
Assuming the yellow flags can be put to bed in a satisfactory manner, I still believe the asking price to be unjustifiably steep. If it was the clean box from BBCE from 18 months ago I would expect an asking price in the $22k-$23k range (recall that that box had no "Ted Signs" cards in the packs...no idea about this one being offered). Also, I feel the desireability of the Fleer Williams unopened product is not as high as the Topps unopened product. It's a smaller niche of the unopened market (which is one of the reasons I passed on the BBCE Williams box).
If its a box without a top and no "Ted Signs" cards, but otherwise legitimate (after the yellow flags have been satisfactorilly addressed) I cant see it going for any more than the nice box that BBCE sold 18 months or so back.

And that box was sold a year or more before BBCE began to shrinkwrap its products.
