Per Rick Snow's book there were two proof die marriages for 1908.
PR1 obv.1 Very minor repunching of the 19 visible in the upper loop of the 9 , flag of 1 and base of the 1 . rev. A Die spines extend from the denticles into the field at 1:30 and 3:30. Olive leaf connected to denticles. The 1 positioned with the left side of a dentil at the left side of the 1, the 8 centered between two dentils.
PR2 obv. 2 Die lines in the denticles below the 1 . Later die stages may not show this feature. rev. B The 1 centered between two dentils, the 8 centered over a single dentil.
Thanks It helps,... I have one then, it is die 2 from the description above. The obverse anyway. No lines but the positioning of the 1 and 8 are spot on.
I wonder if the mint reused proof dies for the regular circulation strikes as my PCGS PR64RB Proof shows very little mirroring.
There were at least 27 marriages for business strikes and it doesn't look like they used the Proof dies. It seems like all the repunched 19 types had the repunching towards the lower parts of the date.
Snow didn't show any rev. markers for PR2. Guess he was eager to finish the series.
Now watch him come on and yell at me.
BTW, there are five examples on CoinFacts,,,4 are PR1 & one is a PR2. Some of these die markers don't show very well depending on the state of the die & how often they were polished.

Don't know if this helps, but I tried.

Are there reverse die markers for 1908 proofs?
