Any extra charges for U.S. buyers?

Hi, I'm a Canadian seller and I'm selling some of my card collection and I was wondering if U.S. buyers have to pay any import fees (duties, brokerage fees, or taxes) on sportscards bought from Canada. For example, if I'm selling a card worth $2500 does it cost a U.S. buyer more if I declare the full $2500 or is it ok to put the full amount? I don't want anyone to get stuck with a huge at the door fees/taxes surprise. Thanks for your help!

I've purchased items from international sellers in the past that were in the hundreds, but not thousands, with no duty charges. If there is a value threshold where any fees would kick in, I'm not sure where that level is, but so far no fees for items under $1,000, at least. I'd ask google...
