I saw that too. Awesome piece...was considering it. Hefty price, but incredibly unique considering its from 1972 according to the auction description.

Edit: someone has a bid on it at ~$5000!

    Andre Auto

This seller has had a few suspicious auctions with bidding so I hope everything is on the up and up here.

It looks like his hand writing and so few people have hands that large to even attempt that with.

Is there a description on the auction you can translate?

I definitely think its real and a great piece of history.

The auction description basically states that this is an early auto (since he changed his name early in his career) and were given away by him at certain venues. No return/refund.

So the hand might be a copy and the auto original or is the auto also a copy. Tough call.

This style of autographs started with sumo wrestlers. They would stamp their hand then sign their name. You can buy facsimile copies at sumo tournaments. Real ones were usually given out to supporters and special fans.

It's hard to tell on the hand, but I the signature is definitely real. Likely the hand is real as well since he was just getting started and making mass facisimiles would be a lot of work.

What's going on here? Same auction back up for twice the price by same seller??!! This just sold to cjaccardi.

    First auction

They removed the pic and retracted the bid.

    Same Andre
