I know this topic is addressed from time to time, but what in your opinion is the best writing instrument for cards (shiny & traditional), glossy photographs & Official Major League Baseballs?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

<< <i>I second the Staedtlers...even for glossy cards. Though it never hurts to run a little baby powder over the surface of a glossy card before it gets signed...it creates microscratches that are virtually undetectable, but allow the ink something more permanent to stick to. >>
where can you purchase these?
Michaels?

On glossy surfaces what works best for me is just rubbing the card down all over with your thumb. Works fine and sharpie will not bubble after it. I don't like the baby powder method, done it before and still will sometimes bubble. On any of these methods always practice and test out on commons.
