Thoughts & Opinions on a crossover SGC to PSA(crossed over to a PSA 8 1/27/14)

I recently purchased this 51' Bowman Nellie Fox RC SGC 88. All of my rc hof pc is PSA. I couldnt turn down the price for this card. I am wanting to send it in for a crossover hoping for a psa 8(would be minimum acceptable grade). I like both companies, but simply have 100+ PSA graded HOF RCs...would like to keep this one PSA too.

Don't crack the card out trying to cross it over. Leave it in the SGC holder and consign it to Probstein when it's returned.

I don't see anything that would suggest trimming, but others here have far more knowledge than I do in that area.

I have seen hundreds of PSA 8's with worse centering than that card.

If resale value is not a concern, I might agree with you, but OP already stated all his cards are in PSA holders, and the value is now at least $100 higher.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
PSA HOF RC(future RC, should be in my opinion,
& the "would be HOF if not for PED guys" too)

Are you saying the cross-over odds are better if left in the holder?
My pc consists of 80-present psa 10s, 70-79 psa 8s, 60-69 psa 7s. My 50-59 now includes Monte Irvin PSA 7, Fox Psa 8, & Ford PSA 4 & am trying to average a Psa 5.5-6 for all HOFs. I still lack seaver & ryan in a 7 to complete 60s.
