1990 topps test pack question

i recently aquired a 1990 topps 16 card cello type pack with the crimped edges....i know these were a test issue and the packaging makes them more collectible than the cards inside...i have heard rumor here and there that the thomas nnof has came from these types of packs...anyone else heard this or know that to be true? and how rare are these?

I have personally pulled 5 No Name Thomas error cards from packs and all of them came from the regular wax packs.

The only time I've read/heard that the Thomas NNOF could be found in these was by a seller on ebay who was selling these. Of course, depending on what someone has to sell, you can find someone that says they can only be found in wax, rack, cello, jumbo, you name it.

They're not easy to find but, like a lot of stuff from this era, no one is really looking so you can find them pretty cheap. I've been referring to them as Michigan Test packs but that would still leave us in need of a name for the non-crimped cello wax packs.
  • the only real Thomas NNOF are all owned by George Bush or something
