Thank You CU Board Members!

Hi everyone

Well, the auction is totally over - I'm in the process of mailing out my lots - and want to take this moment to speak to you all.

First, your magnanimous donations and participation in the auction speaks volumes to the class of our forum. I'm sure you all know how Jay feels.

While Jay is in the midst of treatment which we're all aware is no picnic, he took the time to send me a Christmas gift. Thanx Jay!

Jay has sent "care packages" to others over the years - it's unparalleled by anyone's standards - as many can attest.

Now to my friends here.

Not only was your generosity quick to come - the response to your commitments was equally fast.

We collected $5193.26!

Moreover, some "rounded up" their payment to me and a few of you donated money without having won anything. Wow!

Here's a list of the donators of lots to the auction: (if I miss anyone, please PM me and I will inconspicuously add you to the list with my deepest apology)

Ya know? Sometimes I'll say - as others - "this place has changed."

Well, maybe the focus has changed, and we constantly get very nice new members but what doesn't change?

The fact that CU members are thoughtful and generous in a time of need.

And I hope that NEVER changes!

Well done by all, especially you, Mike. It couldn't have been easy keeping track and updating all the bids, then collecting payments, etc. No doubt it was all worth it in the end.

Cheers, all, Merry Christmas, and get well soon, Jay.

Additionally, $930.00 has been raised so far via: www.gofundme.com/HelpingJayW. I cut and mailed a check today to Jay and Carole for the total of $930.00. I covered the GoFundMe fees and added my $250 to match the first $250 in donations. Donations can still be made at the site and I will mail a check out weekly as funds come in...

Thanks to all who helped out. I won't point out anyone specific as several preferred to be anonymous, but there were several that were quite generous!!!
