U.S. Mint stopped making the "Satin Finish" sets?

I guess I have been out of the coin biz for a very long time...about 5 years or so.
What is the story behind the S.F. sets the Mint used to produce, why did they stop, and what happened to all those B.S./S.F. Statehood quarters that were mixed up on that Wondercoin thread???
Are the U.S. mint sets back to normal business strikes??? Any high grades coming from these sets like the S.F. sets. I remember alot of 69/70 grades...
