Ponterio NYINC Sale

Has anyone figured out the new Stacks-Bowers-Ponterio website?

I'm trying to browse via iPhone and am stuck in "mobile version" hell. I can't figure out how to see the lots.

Looks like another untested Stacks clusterf---k?

Maybe only the skeleton is working.... No lots yet?

What a horrible mobile site. Lots of confusing buttons and tiny checkboxes. And you can't opt out of it.

Most of the lots have not yet been posted (I've been looking on the desktop site). Very little of interest from the ancient side for me.

Just spent a few minutes on the new site. Looks like the S-B IT team is going to have its hands full. In any event, it won't stop me from bidding.

The second 1804 Mexico 8R in PCGS MS64 is a part of that sale. Should be fun.

Ouch. Perhaps the first IT ticket should be adding a search feature back into the site. The second should work on the alphabetical order of the countries.

On the positive side, I see 2 Yap stones in the auction.

Tough to navigate. You only have one chance to make a good impression. Thats a shame. If I am SB, I outsource the design to professionals based on acceptable workflow for auctions. It has been done.

Hopefully it is functional unlike that famous health coverage government website...image

I'm only looking at it on a phone and there's no way to bring up lots. Nor is there an option to disable the mobile site.

On a more positive note, 37 coins from the Netherlands. If only I could see what they are.

The lack of a search function is quite surprising and most disappointing (not to mention the plethora of other issues with the site).

I have seen nothing positive about the new site so I am refusing to look at it yet.
Maybe they will do some work before I force myself to look at it.
Why does it seem everything has to be messed with for the worse.
My company has maintained their own e-mail servers until recently.
Now they are outsourced to a huge company half-way around the world and it takes me
an hour every morning just to check my e-mails. Never took more than 15 minutes before.

    Rant over, carry on. image

Yesterday morning it was much slower - perhaps they were still uploading or something. I navigated it last night and it was almost reasonable. A good thing - I am partaken of several of the art medals.

Anybody else have trouble logging in to their account? I can't seem to log in, request a new password, or even create a new account.

Very disappointed in this. Hopefully somebody from SB will read this and fix it...soon.

Initially tried on the mobile device and ran into the same issues mentioned here, big time fail. Then, I went to the desktop and was able to log in, browse, see the lots, use the filters, etc.

Looks like the site is not designed for use by mobile device but the site does work if you are using a desktop. I have not tried a laptop.

Wow, guess I will save money on NOT bidding on either the Newman auction or this Ponterio! That's ok since I broke the bank on a couple of coins this year.

I am also finding the site less than ideal. After you look at a particular lot (e.g., a British coin), there seems to be no way to move back to the listings for that country (e.g., Great Britain); you actually go back to the initial page, with all the listings, and have to reenter the country you were looking at. Also, the lot descriptions (which are at the very bottom for some reason) are not always complete.

But, as others have noted, I'll likely still consider bidding.

Also, Teletrade is now part of Stacks. I was wondering why there was no Teletrade auction ending December 15...
