on which images you prefer of each of the two tokens. There are three images of each.

I agree with this, I just don't like C in the first set at all.
This likely would have been my choice if the last pic in the first set were a little better.

I think the best answer of course is the ones that they actually look likein real life. I kind of like A and B........ just to screw everything up.

Just glad you posted bigger pictures of the second one. I saw this in one of your group pictures here and thought it is a unique and spectacular design.

C and C, although for the second coin I like both the B and C shots almost the same.

Me too, but C and C are very likely the closest ones to the coins in hand.

Unless you intend to sell them, I'd suggest to choose the illusion over realism.

I would agree that ideally I'd want to use the photos that most closely resemble the coins as they appear in hand.

However, of the pictures posted I am drawn to B for the first and C for the second token.

Great tokens! Thanks for sharing. I especially like the design of the 1796 token. Was this directly used by/associated with the Order of the Thistle or did it just borrow the motto?
