Ebay needed to make some changes to justify the high salaries the staff make. I now get 3 different notifications if I am outbid on an item. I was quite happy with just 1. James
Correct. If watchers exist for an item then that number will be shown. If no watchers exist then nothing will show in the listing.
Although watchers can be an indication of buyer interest in the item, I've had numerous items with multiple watchers sit for a long time without selling, while some without watchers sell. Sometimes potential sellers of a similar item put a watch on an item just to gauge interest.
I'm not exactly sure why eBAY started showing this, but a good guess would be to that it was simply to create faster sales.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the PSA 10 collector he didn't exist.

thanks for the input!
eBAY is constantly screwing with things and it's hard to keep up.

I am sure this is to make you feel like you better pull the trigger on that BIN, or somebody else will.

<< <i>I am pretty sure the number of watchers is only shown for BIN listings. Auctions do not how the number of watchers.

Some auctions do, some don't. Here's one that does. I think maybe it's because it's an auction that has a BIN.
