PSA Express service

What is the point of paying extra for this service if the order still isn't logged in for 2-3 weeks?

    A question among many.

    that is brutal
  • I paid for express once. I will never do it again.

Express sub delivered 18 calendar days ago and not logged in.
  • Don't they give vouchers for completely jacking up the express level service? I've sent three subs on the express level (like sending more expensive cards this way) and have always had them back quick. Something's gotta be wrong for that kinda garbage to be going on.

you really haven't figured this out yet? Really?

Because if you choose Regular, it won't be logged for 2-3 MONTHS. So do you want it back in weeks or months?

I have an express and a Super express order that were delivered at PSA on November 30, and still have not yet been acknowledged as being received. I've also sent two emails to PSA asking about my order that have not been answered.
  • I know it's stated that those time are estimates. But does the BBB become an option at some point?

Under what recourse? You understand what "average" and "estimate" means right? Apparently not.

You're coming across as a real pleasant person in this thread.

When the estimate is 45 days and the result is 90 days, you kind of lose the condescending "do you know what estimate means?" angle.

Honestly, this part bugs me more than the order processing time. I get it that the orders are backed up and I might wait a while. But they don't have a single employee whose job function involves customer service?

You can take your business somewhere else then.
Do you have concrete information that no one is being serviced in less than 45 BUSINESS days? Estimate and Average are clearly stated in the agreement.
  • I'm not concerned with the legality of the "estimated" turn around time. For a 20 day sub to not even be acknowledged as received for 20 or more days is extremely poor business practice. I don't really care if a 50 day sub takes 52 days. Just log the damm thing in as soon as received so that 52 days isn't actually 80 days.
  • Does PSA offer a 'Fast Pass'?

I think the time period should be when the package arrives, no matter how long it takes to log. This is Beckett's practice and it makes sense. That way even if it takews them a month to log it in, your order time has already started.

Overall, their processes are antiquated. It worked okay when they receive a certain number of orders, but for the past two years they are receiving double or more of the orders (great for them, but hurting the regular guys). Thus the B type submitter getting 1,000 or more cards graded yearly is kind of getting the shaft time wise (turn around wise). The big time submitters are probably not getting affected as much (which maybe they shouldn't be).
Work hard and you will succeed!!

this is what happens when you become incredibly popular. like Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber. they used to be real sweethearts, but now they're just flat crazy and everyone loves their schtick.

PSA is Cyrus and Bieber. wait in line. maybe they will acknowledge you.

And after having enough of being ignored through e-mail and waiting four months for 50 day service or 45 days for 10 express service, that's exactly what people will do. Nothing too earth-shattering there.

It's not a difficult concept. There is no rhyme or reason to their service time, and people are getting tired of it, as you can tell by the weekly threads. My turnaround times have been great so far. Usually it's ten days to log and another 2-3 weeks to pop. But my submissions have gone ahead of those submitted by people two months earlier. Why? That's all anyone wants to know. Why can't you answer e-mail? Type in a tracking number? Grade submissions as first-come first-serve?

Have you tried calling? Email obviously doesn't work.

Here's the same advice I gave the coin folks years ago and it came to fruition: PSA should raise prices. $6 specials or $5.75 specials make no sense when you are swamped. Raise the min price to $10. The avg PSA ticket price is $8+. The avg coin ticket price is $20+. Raise the price of PSA submissions and you will get less of them. You will be more profitable but apparently everyone will be happier because their stuff gets logged sooner. Over time submitters will get used to the new prices and volumes will increase again. You could have "specials" for $8.75 to entice volume.

all the complaining will do is cause these guys to raise prices. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happens in January when the new prices come out. Possibly they are swamped now because those in the know already know about this and have made huge submissions to beat the price rise. I have no knowledge of this. Just a guess on my part. It's what I would do.

"Specials" this month are not special. Very few if any will be sending in card submissions this month based on the current special prices.

My point on this thread was that I am paying a higher price because the cards in this submission are slightly higher value and that I wanted them back quickly. So I am paying extra for a perk that I am not receiving.

Well PSA has raised the price for grading once again starting in January. I would hope they are adding more employees to the mix with the additional funds.
Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases

Yes, I did call them and sat on hold for 15+ minutes before I just gave up. I sent in cards for Super Express - $65 a card for 2-day turnaround for cards valued $2000-$4999. My order has already sat for 5 times as long as the service level turnaround time.

Don't call and get too grumpy- they might just send your cards back, close your registries and never allow you to do business with them again. Maybe.
  • Today is business day 12 (calendar day 17) since express sub was received and still not logged in.
  • I had a Super Express order take a little over 2 months.... Then got a voucher for $45!! lmao

Why complain if you cannot even wait on hold

If there is an issue talk to someone . For that kind of money on the value of the cards I'd wait all day

Not sure if this question was asked already, but did you write that it was an Express sub on the outside of the box?

Yes. Actually had a 45 card regular 50 day sub that was delivered 2 days before the Express sub that popped today.
  • I thought you said earlier today that the Express sub hadn't been logged in yet. So the submission was logged and popped the same day?

Edit: OK, I think I understand now. You sent a 45 day sub in another package two days before the Express sub, and that submission already popped today.

Or maybe get subbers like 4SC to pay the same as us regular folk do.
