Big win for the Spartans. They didn't deserve to play in the championship game the way it is setup today, but they proved they were worthy of being a top 5 team. Go Green!
Yeah, I uploaded that KC icon in 2001

  • They would beat Florida state with that defense.

You mean the defense that gave up 162 yards rushing?

I think they would give FSU and Auburn a pretty hard time if given the chance to play in the championship.

Thats without Bullough the middle linebacker, who is one of their best players.

In my 40+ years of being a football fan, this is by far the best team I've been able to cheer for (of course when your teams are MSU and the Lions, that isn't saying much). They just never get rattled. I was impressed by their offense today as well.

FSU, Aubrurn and Alabama would destroy them. Stop fooling yourself. They just beat a way overrated Stanford team that previously lost to Utah. Geesh! How was Stanford even ranked in the top 5? There were 6 other 2 loss teams that are better than Stanford and ranked lower. Typical left coast bias.

Overrated? If you're going to call a team overrated, you should at least have the courtesy to back that up with some facts. As far as this lunacy of west coast bias, you can't be serious, can you? You can't be so deluded as to think the sports media, like all news in this country, being located in and around NY has some odd west coast bias, can you? As far as why Stanford was in the Rose Bowl, you do realize how they choose those teams don't you?

Surprised me. I thought Stanford would handle them. The Big 10 had a decent showing yesterday. 2-2 and Iowa was closer to LSU than I thought they would be.

Yea not bad considering Iowa was playing with a 3rd string quarterback.

    MSU looked stout yesterday.
Nice to see them play to their potential.
Great game too. Love the Rose Bowl.

Michigan State has played this season with intensity that has been underestimated in part because of a calm demeanor collectively demonstrated by the team when things were just not going well on the field. The coaches and players deserve significant praise. If you go back to the beginning of the season, how many experts had the Spartans as a top 5 or even top 10 team?

    Well executed - CONGRATS

They were not rated in the top 25 until about 8 games into this season.
