Pre-1933 Gold sovereigns that should grade AU? I've always heard that anything under MS should be kept raw. There seems to be a growing number of AUs on the market these days. Looking for opinions please!

If you are worried about authenticity, then yes.

People seem to pay a little more for slabbed pieces, as ajaan says it's about authenticity for many folks.

Condition isn't the only factor. If you have a 1911 proof, or a 1917 in any condition, definitely worth slabbing.
