Half Cents and Large Cents, for sale here

Below are some recently acquired, raw Half Cents and Large Cents that I am offering here before anywhere else. All are pretty nice looking coins, but some have some condition issues which I have tried to describe and illustrate in the photos. My opinion of both "Commercial" grade and "EAC" grade are provided.

All prices include shipping. Paypal, check, or money order are all fine.

Thanks for looking!

1828 Classic Head Half Cent, 13 Stars, C-3, AU+ detail, EAC 50 net 40. A sharp, barely worn, Half Cent. Attractive despite having been wiped at some time, resulting in the surfaces being maybe a tad too glossy and the color a bit mottled…….$130

1819 Coronet Head Large Cent, Small Date, Close Stars, N-3, R.3, VF+, EAC 20. Very attractive, problem-free steel-brown surfaces. A scarce die variety and tough to find in choice middle grades……..$SOLD

1821 Coronet Head Large Cent, N-1, F detail, EAC 10 net 7. A tough date that is available enough in AG-VG, but tough to find any better. This piece has solid detail, but shows a few rim hits, minor reverse roughness, and rather uneven color………$90

1823/2 Coronet Head Large Cent, Overdate, N-1, VG+ detail, EAC 8 net 5. The key date for the Coronet Head Large Cents. This is a relatively well-detailed example that was thoroughly, but not harshly cleaned, leaving it a pinkish color. A good candidate for a recoloring. There are also a few minor rim bumps and light scrapes on Liberty……..$150

1835 Coronet Head Large Cent, Head of '34, N-2, R.3, AU detail, EAC 40 net 25. A tough die variety to find in better grades. This piece would easily rank in the top 20 known examples as far as sharpness goes. However, the surfaces were cleaned or otherwise treated and are now a kind of funky orange color with some colorful accents where the obverse is starting to retone. There is also a hardly noticeable, old depression at Liberty's eye. Despite the imperfect surfaces, I find the coin to still be rather attractive and it makes a well-struck and very well-detailed example of this scarce variety……….$200

1842 Braided Hair Large Cent, Large Date, N-5, R.3+, Unc. detail, EAC 55 net 40. Another funky looking Large Cent. This one essentially mint state, but cleaned, leaving it an unnatural orange-copper color and with a few, faint hairlines. There is still a generous amount of mint luster through the stars and legends and at a quick glance, this looks like a flashy, mint red Cent. Well-struck, early die state, with an especially hammered reverse. N-5 is one of the scarcest die varieties of 1842 and this is an important example considering there are only 4 mint state coins in the EAC census and only another 5 in AU……..$250

1854 Braided Hair Large Cent, N-16, AU detail, EAC 40+ net 35. A nice, olive and steel-brown Cent with just a streak of minor verdigris down the obverse, which may be removable…….$75

1854 Braided Hair Large Cent, N-26, R.3, choice AU, EAC 40. Very nice, frosty brown surfaces with darker toning around the details. Problem-free……..$120
