Help- What would you do?

I recently won a 1969 Tony Oliva card in PSA 10 on ebay. Its been 4 days since the auction ended and I still havent received payment instructions. I've emailed him 4 times with no response. What would you do?

Gaspipe26 - I know it's frustrating, but it's been too soon to really worry about it. The seller has stellar feedback so give him the benefit of the doubt.

Also, I noticed he uses Auctionhelper.com for his invoices to the buyers. If you've ever used this as a buyer and you remember your password, you can check to see if your payment instructions are on there. Usually there's phone number too if you need to contact him. Bottom line is give him a little more time, at least until Monday.

    Bob,

You could get his contact info from Ebay and call him. Perhaps he is having e-mail/computer problems.

    Bob,

I wouldn't panic. He may have gone out of town unexpectedly. As a last resort, you can call him by getting his phone number through eBay. I'd wait until this weekend before I did that. Good luck.
  • Hey gaspipe, I also am waiting to hear from a seller concerning an auction that ended on May 4. I won a 1969 Topps #20 Ernie Banks PSA 9 from seller sportscardzz2. I have sent 3 emails about this and no response. I have checked his feedback and he has 3 negative feedbacks that state he never returned their emails either. Strange he is a POWER SELLER and has over 1300 feedbacks. He does not have any listings at the moment. Fortunately I have not paid for the auction yet, where the others have.

I bought a couple of 1968 Topps cards from this seller a couple of weeks ago and had no problems at all. I think it took a couple days to receive the link to the auction helper invoice, but after I paid I received the cards within a few days. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about.

I'm sorry the above response was to Ed. I didn't realize they were different sellers.

  • Bob,

I sometimes have problems emailing AOL accounts. For some reason they don't receive my emails with payment information. This seller may be having a similar problem where he's emailing you but you aren't receiving them. Sometimes the spam filters pull out emails with the standard eBay end of auction titles. You may want to try the "ask seller a question" button on the aution. I've been able to contact some people through that method when direct emails weren't getting through. Another option would be to email him a phone number where he can contact you.

    Good luck.

  • Sorry, I meant the "ask the seller a question" button on the auction page. I need a spell checker!

  • Jared, thanks for the info about this seller. 69Topps, I will try your suggestion with "ask the seller a qustion".

FINALLY got a link to Auction Helper for the lot.
  • Alohaet (Ed), I am one of the negative remarks that was left for sportcardzz2. I did finally get the card that I won off of him on Ebay. The package arrived to my door 30 days after the postmark so it definetly was the post office mistake. About your E-mail problem with him, he NEVER responded to me until I filed a complaint with Ebay and Paypal. A simple response would have been appreciated. I waited a couple of weeks with no response to my E-mails before I filed though.

Gentlemen: I too am in to sportscardzz2 for a mid-April EBAY auction (1967 PSA 8, one of my 4 food groups) and I haven't heard a word yet despite several emails. Let me know if you reach a live body.

Used to working on HOF SS Baseballs--Now just '67 Sox Stickers and anything Boston related.
  • I wonder how many others have had problems with this seller (sportscardzz2). I sell on ebay off and on and don't understand why a seller delays receiving payment by not answering his/her emails. Of course if they don't have the product... This is way I always keep a copy of the card that is pictured in the auction. This way I have backup if the seller sends me a card that does not have the same PSA # I can make a claim if I have to. I sent another email and still no response. I can bide my time for a while longer. But I would sure like my 1969 Topps Ernie Banks PSA 9.
