ebay question - international shipping?

I do not want to ship international, yet almost all of my items now seem to have a "Ships to: United States and many other countries" in the listing. These are good til cancelled store listings that had no international shipping when they were first listed.

Why does eBay continue to make things more difficult? Is this happening to others as well? Can I change them back in bulk?

I would not ship internationally, and if you do, I would not use the new Global Shipping Program.

I'm in the middle of a case where a buyer is claiming they never received the card and it looks like I am out 1000.00 due to a scam. The card was showed sold under another ebay ID a week later as well. Paypal ruled in the buyers favor this morning despite the facts. This is my first dealing with the global shipping program and I will not use it again nor will I ship internationally again through ebay.

I'll have to check my listings, but you should be able to change in bulk with eBay's TurboLister.
  • You have to exclude all other countries now. Changed a few months ago. I didn't notice at first until a guy from China bought a $10 card.

When you list an item for sale now, the ebay default is to allow international shipping unless you specifically enter all the geopgraphical exclusions and check all the boxes for places like Oceania etc.

Sometimes the default page with the boxes are not fail proof. Mine only says ships to U.S. and Canada but Germany got in somehow. If you want to be sure, go to your eBay page, then account and then site preference I believe. I'm at my doctor's office so I can't double check. I think it's under buyer requirements or shipping. There are boxes to check for exclusions then save it. You can click on the whole continent and ever country within are not allowed to bid. The exclusions are automatic and will also be included in auctions you have going on immediately. I did this the other day. Not sure about store items since I don't have a store.
