BST: Please Price Your Cards

When listing cards in the BST section of the forum, please price them. It saves the potential buyer and the seller time. If you ask for the best offer don't be offended if I or someone else offers you 10% of what you think it is worth. I mostly visit classic/muscle car forums. Most of them require prices or the ads will be deleted. As Mike on American Pickers says, "I can't buy and sell your item". If you don't know how much to ask, do some research. Almost every card that has been listed on here has had one like it sell on Ebay or some other site.
Rant over.
Thanks, James

I agree. I simply do not make offers on cards that have no price for fear of insulting a board member.

I havn't bought from the bst forum but I still agree with you. I hate going to a card shop or show and looking at cards w/o prices. A lot of the times im just curious as to how much they're being sold for, and I don't want to ask prices on ten different cards, that can be annoying for both buyer and seller.

Agreed...I hate when I got to card shows and there are no prices on the cards. I want to see if the seller is realistically wanting to sell anything or if he/she is just running a museum!

Yep, or go to a shop, and cards are not sorted, so I go through and spend an hour finding the 60's commons I need, only to find out he wants $2.50+ a card. Wow, could of saved everyone time by having them priced reasonably to start with. And I'm not coming back...
If your selling, it is your price, so post it with the ad.

Agreed. I hate it when I go to a show and can tell the seller is sizing me up to see how much he can charge.

I'm curious as to why you didn't ask about the prices before you spent an hour rummaging through the guy's cards.

I did and he said 50% Beckett. I guess I should of asked why he was using "mnt" as the condition when these were ex-ex+ at best.

If commons list at $4-$5 in NM, 50% of "beckett" is about right for EX+ cards ($2.00-$2.50 each). Did you think he meant 50% off of the Ex+ value?

I do agree that if they are not sorted they should not be charging full price based on condition. They have less work into that box since it hasn't been sorted/priced. But there are some shops that have everything sorted by number and even by condition. Since they did a lot of the work, I understand them wanting full price based on condition for some commons.

Ya, I guess it wasn't that bad. This shop was a big mess, comics all over the place, cards all over his counters. These places can be fun but I didn't have a lot of time to go through his stuff. He had it, but it just wasn't real organized. Still, he was a nice guy and I would return. Hookers Sportscards in Eugene, on 7th in the downtown area.
