FS: 1879 Trade, 1900 Proof Morgan, 1927 MS Saint

I, Artist, have been a member of this forum since 2004. I have not been very active in the hobby for the past few years, and now I have a few coins to sell... I would love to save on Ebay fees if I can! I guarantee everything to be as described... I accept returns. For payment, Paypal is preferred.

Okay, here is what I have:
1879 Trade Dollar - Proof - NCS / Artificial Toning - $1,625.00 / Shipped
This coin has been in my family for over 30 years, and I know for certain that no attempts were made to change its color in all that time, so I took the coin to the Long Beach Coin and Stamp Show to inquire at the NCS table about the Artificial Toning Designation. There, I showed the coin to David Lange, who said it appeared to him that the coin had been improperly stored in an envelope, which resulted in damage to the coin… in his words: "environmental damage, artificial toning… with this coin, those are just different ways of saying the same thing." This coin has its problems, but I am reluctant to believe anything was ever rendered unto it with the intent to deceive.
The coin is certainly dark… the obverse almost looks like a proof BN copper from the era, with clear fields that reflect moderate iridescence in certain light. The reverse is lighter than the obverse, but the fields are somewhat hazy. Light hairlines are present throughout. There are no distracting contact marks or abrasions to speak of.

Tough coin to photograph - the coin does not show much cameo contrast in-hand, but lighting it that way was the only way I get it to read at all. In-hand, this coin is essentially pure white, with watery surfaces, and no distracting hits, contact marks or blemishes. Moderate hairlines throughout the fields are what account for the grade. Over all, a pleasing example with nice eye appeal.
