Question on pricing of 1933 Sports Kings Jack Dempsey

Over the holiday my father in law asked about pricing for the Jack Dempsey card in question. He is an antiquer/poster collector and we compare notes on holiday visits. He has a line on the card for $185 and said "It would probably grade a 6". I referred him to ebay for recent prices as I have no knowledge of the set or Jack Dempsey in particular. I promised to pass along any wisdom I could cull from the board. Any insight?

    I am not sure I can answer this for you but just beware that this set has been reprinted quite a bit and taking a chance raw and the card could be worth around a quarter.

    If you can post a scan of the back, it is easy to spot a reprint (usually). Like others said, I would be really careful, as there are lots of reprints out of these cards that sellers are trying to pass off as the real deal.
