FSH: Collection of 61 different off-center clad dimes, 1965 - 2001

I assembled this set well over a decade ago, and lost interest in it when the Mint stopped striking true off-center errors with the move to the Schuler presses. You could easily fill in the dates 2002 and later with the uncentered broadstrikes the new presses occasionally spit out for less than $5 per coin with a little patience on eBay.

The set is ten coins shy of being complete from 1965 to 2000, and a few of the missing coins (1996-P, 1997-D, 1998D) should be relatively easy to find. I've listed the coins below, I can take photos of any of these coins if you are interested. I would prefer to sell the set intact, so I am not entertaining any offers for individual coins right now. All coins are high AU to mint state unless otherwise noted:

1965 40% O/C toward K-9
1966 90% K-10:30 (only "966" of the date is visible)
1967 65% K-9 (very tough date)
1968-D 65% K-9
1969-D 45% K-12
1970 5% K-1
1970-D 80% K-9 (only "70 D" shows)
1971-D 40% K-2 (BU)
1972 15% K-1:30
1972-D 70% K-12:30 (possibly dipped)
1973 85% K-12
1973-D 3% K-11 (XF)
1974 15% K-6 (bottom of date cut off)
1974-D 65% K-12
1975 5% K-2
1975-D 60% K-10
1976 5% K-3
1976-D 50% K-12:30 (XF)
1977 5% K-2
1977-D 50% K-1:30 (BU)
1978 5% K-5
1979 75% K-12

1982-P 15% K-2 (BU)
1982-D 80% K-10:30
1983-P 65% K-2 (bottom of "83" cut off, very tough date)
1983-D 40% K-12
1984-P 15% K-2
1984-D 70% K-12 (BU)
1985-P 75% K-1

2000-P 30% K-2 (last "0" partially cut off)
2000-D 15% K-3
2001-P 25% K-7 (BU)

I will include the book in which the coins reside, which is a Gardmaster archival-quality imitation of the old Harco albums. The coins are placed six per row into a mylar slide, which are inserted five per into a soft plastic page. There is room in the album for coins through 2009.

Asking price for all 61 coins, plus the album, is $995 insured postpaid. That works out to just over $16 per coin, which if you check eBay for the prices realized on some of these earlier dates, is a very fair price. It would take you years to come close to duplicating this set, as many of these coins simply do not show up for auction any more.

PayPal is fine, I'll also take a check or MO to avoid the fees. Full money back guarantee if you're unhappy... but you won't be. Plenty of Forum references available upon request.

Thanksgiving TTT, I'll consider reasonable offers. Still not looking to sell any individual coins quite yet.

5,256,000 minutes worth of searching over the course of a decade to complete for $995.00 sound like a one heck of a good deal! image

As it happens, you weren't the only one to think that. This is currently on hold while I take some pictures for a potential buyer.
