The card or piece of memorabilia you're most THANKFUL for...

Since Thanksgiving is two days away, what card are you the most thankful for? It could be one that someone gave you as a gift, one that you won at auction, what card or sports memorabilia are you the most thankful for? Pics if you have them would be awesome too.

Go.

My autographed ball of Ted Williams.

It is the last piece remaining of my childhood collection. I went his baseball camp in 1978 and 79 (or 79 and 80) for the 3 week sessions and Ted always came to visit the kids who's parents shelled out for the 3 week sessions so I met him a couple times there, got 6 or 7 balls signed in all. Used some of them, traded some and lost some except for the one I gave to my dad around 1982. He passed away in 2004 and the ball made it's way back to me.

It's something I will never, ever part with again.

Pretty sure I played with this one too but at least it survived image

  • I don't have any one piece I am truly thankful for. I am thankful for being able to take part in this great hobby.

    I agree with BOSTONAMERICANS!
  • I will be thankful when I finally complete the 1970s Mega-set decade run...until then I will continue to grit my teeth as I shell out clams for elusive 1979 PSA 9s.

Actually its not one particular piece of memorabilia I am thankful for but the fact that after my Annie passed away over a year ago I liquidated most of my collection but got the inspiration to become involved with the hobby once again as strong as ever.
