Littleton Coin Albums.

Has anyone here used Littleton Coin Albums or seen any with coins in them that have been there for a number of years?? I recently came across some albums that are from 5-10 years old and some of the coins have toned quite nicely, particularly Clad coins/Clad Proofs and Nickels. I was quite surprised by what I found. These Littleton albums have been stored with other album collections, mainly Whitman/Intercept Shield/Dansco and though the others have slight toning none are close to what's in the Littletons.

Has anyone else seen this type of reaction with those albums??

I have only heard of the single holders toning example

I can guess it happens with their albums

seeing that leads me to believe it must be something in the plastic slides used in the albums, not the board material as I had assumed.
