Had to visit the SDB today. So, I decided to take some new pics since I've finally figured out a good camera setting on my Nikon D70. I'm really starting to like this series and think this might be what I start to collect next as soon as the Buffalo set is complete.
My new pics really brought out the luster. Thought everyone would love to see it again.

Great coin, thanks for sharing!
Hoard the keys.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Very nice! Awesome eye-appeal!

I really have to Windex my monitor screen (and keyboard, and change shirt/pants) now. Thank
you sooo much for that!
Thanks for sharing her.
<< <i>Did it get a FH? >>
Yep. Current grade is 66*FH
I think it deserves at least a 66+*FH, so I'll be resubmitting.

Ha! Not likely, but there are certain toned coins that just really make an impression, even to lay people. This is one of them. What a gorgeous series - completely unlike anything else in US coinage. Nice photos too.

My Washington Type B/C Set
I got them in change back in the late 1950s and early 1960s, most were G-F. I like the Type 1 nudies......

<< <i>Stunning coin. Seems fully graded as MS66*. A little bit of stacking friction and tics down her leg would probably keep it from 66+/67. The head is ok though not 100% full (3 sprigs could be better separated right to their base and the ear hole is a slice vs. a roundish hole). Very sharp separation from face to hairline though. PCGS is a bit tougher on these, especially with this kind of deeper toning that almost always diminishes the luster a shade. I'd almost expect a 65+ out of them. First time I tried submitting an absolutely flawless but russet/autumn toned 1924 SLQ to them (NGC MS66 FH) I could never get them to grade it higher than 65FH or plain old 66 (no full head). The stunning color on this 1929 can easily make up for any other shortcomings via price. Love the look of the coin. I have to think NGC is very careful mixing + and * if they aren't 100% in agreement....because that essentially makes the coin MS67 price-wise. >>
roadrunner,
Thanks for your synopsis on the coin. This helps me better understand the grade and knowing what to look for as I start searching out the other 36 dates
