<< <i>I don't collect Morgan dollars so would someone explain why they see it is a counterfeit. >>
Only one obverse die was used for the '93-S. So it is easy to line up attributes. All '93-S Morgans should have the numeral 1 in the date precisely centered over a denticle below.
I didn't spend the time to regenerate the bar code but I've yet to see a correct one for a modern fake. Lance.
Same lame story so I sent Capt's message off the dealer network as follows:
Brittney, just a heads up that you are being watched:
"Just had a visit from the Secret Service - a customer purchased 4 GSA CC dollars off Craig's List and the agent wanted to verify that they were NG. There was one each 80-CC, 81-CC, 84-CC, 85-CC -- all very childish counterfeits in similarly childish GSA boxes."

This coin is legit the pictures I posted before were not of the actual coin because I do not have it in my possession yet so I just googled pictures and put them up obviously that was a fake but the coin that is up now is the actual coin and am not trying to pass fake coins. We deal in coins and metals every day and know what we are doing. Thank you for your concern though

Now keep in mind that the auction ended in 2006, took awhile for delivery it seems.

Okay, let me see if I understand, as I'm the high bidder. You posted a counterfeit because you did not have the real one in your possession yet? So, where or who is the source for the "real" one? The picture you are currently using is the same picture that was used back in 2006 when it last sold at a Heritage Auction. No doubt the coin is real but there is a huge doubt that you have the coin. Brittany, these are rare coins. They are tracked back dealers and collectors all across this country. Pulling a sly one over on one of us is pretty near impossible. Your explanation needs some more facts to be believed. Personally I want the real coin but I am getting pretty tired of your excuses and explanations. Why don't you put the coin on your kitchen table and take a pic and then send me the pic through Ebay's message system. That would sure help add some credibility. bob

Oh my, I won't be getting my pictures.........bummer.
Dear greatbasincoins,
First of all I don't have to even explain anything to you if you don't believe me and are worried about anything then just don't bid on my items. That's all there is to it I'm starting to get annoyed by you anyways so please just leave me alone. If I didn't have the coin and was playing a game I could use anything I wanted much easier then dealing with this and something worth far more valuable. So have a good day thanks

if he/she/they are that annoyed by you, i wonder, just how "annoyed" they would be if the SS showed up at their door. btw, i would pay to see that video, no BS! .
Saying the images being displayed are from the Heritage auction of this coin, then the seller is currently committing copyright infringement. Now what happens if they really are selling the coin for a friend? Did anyone see if the coin is for sale or has changed hands cents the sale in 2006?
No, and I don't deal with dealers that are using images from 7 years ago and cannot provide a current image. I've not looked to see if the owner from the 06 auction wants to sell.

There is no evidence from the cert number lookup that tells who the owner is nor is there any evidence that the person who bought it in the 2006 auction still owns it.
