I have a friend who saw it in the news ask me about it. I was excited to say I had made a (tiny) purchase from it. image

My wife hit me up with this last night. At first I was going to say she was mistaken then I remembered that Newman was just completed. So 1+1 = 2.
It didn't seem possible to me at first that $7500 would have bought all those coins, even back in the 1940's.

The media likes to post stuff like this so that the average Joe "thinks" they can duplicate these results with a similar formula. The only problem is, there will never be another inflationary
period supported by govt quite like the 70 years from the start of WW2. The 1945-2007 period was like the perfect storm for tangible assets. The biggest thing is being born at the start
of the right 60 year period. The next thing is buying the right stuff in the early stages of it. What if Newman had just stuck with the 5 1913 Lib nickels and called it a day?
