Can eBay Auctions Get Hacked?

I was picking up some BINs today and came across an auction for a card I need that wouldn't allow me to purchase it. When I click on the Buy It Now button and then agree to purchase it, it comes back with an error message stating that the seller has set buyer requirements and only sells to buyers who meet these requirements. It then goes on to say that I either don't have a PP account or my PP account is not linked to my eBay account. However, I BIN'd other items immediately before and after attempting to buy this one. Is it possible for an auction to get hacked? Has anyone else run into this problem?

  • no, seller has some restriction on how many items a buyer can buy within a certain amount of days.
